Pre-Litigation Counseling
BC Media Law provides offensive and defensive pre-litigation advice, helping clients navigate matters when when their rights have been violated and counseling clients on litigation avoidance and dispute resolution matters.

About
Barbara Gratch Cohen
My career began with a love of books and learning and a reverence for writers and writing, teachers and teaching. Informed by working in book publishing and at a talent and literary agency, I became a lawyer with the goal of protecting freedom of speech and the press. I started as a litigator, first at Cahill Gordon & Reindel and then at Lankenau Kovner & Outten (which merged into Davis Wright Tremaine). Following that and prior to launching BC Media Law, I held various senior in-house roles at newspaper publishing and trade and academic book publishing companies. Throughout, I have learned from inspired teachers and the very best lawyers.
